Britain’s Got Tenants – a performance!

Friday 11 March, 7.00pm at The Albany, Deptford

Join us for a work-in-progress performance* of Britain’s Got Tenants: an evening of theatre, spoken word, live music, sketches and songs featuring on the button plus guest artists and friends!

Theatre company on the button teams up with award-winning writer Che Walker** to bring you a show about the housing crisis: Britain’s Got Talent by way of a history of social housing! Sing songs of protest, listen to stories of slums, utopias and struggles for better homes, and stick around afterwards to join in our big conversation about what’s causing the crisis and what we can do about it.

We’ll be operating a pay-what-you-decide box office system in the form of a bucket. Put it in your diary (the date, not the bucket, silly!), and see you there(enter your details here to confirm you will be attending)!

* whatever we’ve managed to come up with after five days’ work at the Albany. Expect history, songs, games, stories, laughs, agitprop, silly wigs and fake facial hair.
** because our grant application was cruelly rejected by the Arts Council, we can’t actually afford to pay Che to write a script. But he will be advising us on script-y matters and offering moral support and guidance
