BGT Podcast – Housing Protests: Songs and Stories

Or listen on iTunes

This is where we’re documenting our research for Britain’s Got Tenants, our new show about the housing crisis and the history of social housing, which will tour in May and June 2016.

In our Protest podcast, we are joined by Robin Grey and Rachel Rose Reid from Three Acres and a Cow, who talk to us about land rights, housing rights and why it’s important to sing about it. Included in the programme are conversations with activists from housing campaigns across London.

The Cheviot, the Stag and the Black Black Oil //// The Diggers  //// Rachel and Robin’s brilliant show – Three Acres and a Cow //// Postwar Squatters //// The Sweets Way Campaign //// Don Cooke and Arthur Rowe //// Pete the Temp /// The model home on Sweets Way and our own visits to the estate //// Defend Council Housing //// The Kinder Scout trespass
